Southside Kingdom of Hope CDF Freedom School,

Serving Franklin and surrounding counties.

The CDF Southside Kingdom of Hope has been providing services since 2006. Freedom Schools program provides summer enrichment that helps children fall in love with reading, increases their self-esteem, and generates more positive attitudes toward learning. Children are taught using a model curriculum that supports children and families around five essential components: high quality academic enrichment; parent and family involvement; civic engagement and social action; intergenerational leadership development; and nutrition, health and mental health.

Freedom School Process

Welcome to the 2026 Southside Kingdom of Hope Freedom School Summer. Programming begins Wednesday, 6/10/26 from 8:30-3:00, Monday through Friday, at location: 1779 Maynard Avenue. (Duxberry Arts Impact Elementary). The school will be held through 7/31/26. The school is off for holiday on June 19th and July 4th. Registration deadline date is June 6. The first 35 scholars will be accepted into the program and a waitlist will be started.

HOW TO REGISTER

Step 1: Register with Program to get your Registration number. (35 slots available, first come, first serve).

Step 2: You will receive a text and/or email with a link to enroll. Enrollment opportunity will last April 20-24.

Step 3: Fill out Parent Packet and return on the 1st day of the program or by June 12th.

When you receive your accepted/enrollment link:

Once accepted you will receive an email or text to "Enroll" your scholar(s).
Other required forms will be in your welcome packet and will be due back Friday the 12th. This packet can be downloaded (please bring with you on the first day) or you can receive a packet on the first day.

Your Enrollment will NOT be complete until ALL of the 3 steps have been received.

Registration Deadline

• All Registration Forms MUST be submitted on the first day of school or by June 12th.

• All completed registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis

• We Will have 35 slots this year.
